NASHVILLE - For a young man who came up from junior high slated to be an outside linebacker, Scrapper senior-to-be Rob Coulter has literally “grown” into his current position of defensive end. In fact, Coulter played downs at all five defensive line positions in the 2007 Class 4-A state title game last December against the vaunted ground attack of Pine Bluff Dollarway. While recording five unassisted tackles in that game, as well as several more assisted stops, Coulter logged downs at nose guard and both defensive tackles, but played mostly at his “normal” position of defensive end on that Friday evening in War Memorial Stadium in early December.

With the Select 7-on-7 title on the line, quarterback Zach Faust led his Har-Ber teammates down the field for the go-ahead score and watched his defense hang on for the win. Har-Ber - from Springdale, Ark. - knocked off McGill-Toolen Catholic from Mobile, Ala., in the final. Jamie Newberg has all the action from a full Saturday in Hoover, Ala., broken down.

The Monticello Billies have a excellent young man who plans on both sides of the ball as a Center and Defensive Tackle. Coach Van Pascal has been quoted as saying this young man is a great team leader, and has really stepped up to tack charge of the team.

Texarkana (Arkansas High) fans have spent the off-season wondering who would replace star running back and Arkansas Razorback Dennis Johnson in the 2008 football season, and they have now found their answer in a young man named Tim Lackey.
